Investors in Cambodia’s garment industry are increasingly putting their dollars toward modern equipment as they look to produce higher-value products to compete in the international market. More than 300 workers of the shuttered Great Honor Textile Factory demonstrated in front of the home of Prime Minister Hun Sen urging him to expedite the sale of the facility following the disappearance of its owners. The workers are pushing for the proceeds from the sale to fund severance payments that they have not received. Some workers say they have not been paid since July. (Phnom Penh Post)
