Locally made children’s garments in Pakistan are increasingly pushing out imports from China, according to the Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA). Domestically produced garments are significantly cheaper than their imported counterparts, and consequently, are much more attractive to budget-conscious shoppers. Analysts say that while imports from China are down, those from Bangladesh have actually been on the rise..(DAWN)
