The funds were secured during a recent visit by Punjab’s Chief Minister to Beijing, where officials at the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China promised billions of dollars in investment to Punjab’s textile sector as well as a guarantee to work to secure funding from other major world sources. The China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC) has also expressed interest in investing in a new Apparel Park in Sheikhupura. (Fibre2Fashion)
