The owner of a garment factory embroiled in a worker strike has rescinded on a promise to accept an agreement signed with the workers, claiming that he was forced to sign the document under duress. The striking workers also say that the owner has now locked the leaders of the strike out of the factory, preventing them from returning to work. The agreement was signed on October 26 at a local government office. (Myanmar Times)
