Attendees at the recent Cotton made in Africa (CmiA) conference in Ethiopia say that the country should focus on developing a fuller textile value chain to take advantage of its cotton growing capacity instead of simply exporting it. Ethiopia joined the CmiA group of countries earlier this year and has been touted by international observers as having a great potential for growth in the African textile sector.
