Many of Vietnam’s small and medium apparel enterprises reportedly struggled to survive through the first quarter of 2016, according to the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association. The group says that many of these companies were forced to shut their doors as their customers found lower-cost alternatives in neighboring countries like Myanmar and Laos. While Vietnam’s textile and apparel industry has been on the rise recently, analysts say that the country’s environment makes it hard for small and medium companies to compete. (Fibre2Fashion)
