The government of Belarus has implemented a new law that requires all textile imports to have documents certifying that they comply with the regulations of the three-nation Customs Union, which also includes Russia and Kazakhstan. The regulations focus on consumer safety and apply to a wide range of products including knitwear, apparel, carpets, and leathergoods. Products imported before July 1, the effective date of the new policy, that do not meet the requirements will still be permitted on the market until March 1 of 2015.(Fibre2Fashion)
