Bolivian Vice-President Alvaro Garcia Linera is urging his country’s textile sector to push for greater economic growth. Speaking at the country’s first International Garment Fair, the Vice-President noted that while the country has achieved substantial growth in recent years, it has not kept pace with other industries. Between January and May, Bolivia exported US$24 million in textiles and is aiming to achieve US$60 million by the end of the year.(Fibre2Fashion)
