A German court has agreed to hear a lawsuit brought forth by 4 relatives of victims who perished in the 2012 Ali Enterprises fire in Pakistan. The suit was filed against German retailer KiK claiming that they held responsibility for the extensive fatalities because they did not do enough to ensure the building had proper fire safety measures. This comes just days after investigators looking into the fire recorded a statement from the factory owners, who are now in Dubai, saying that the blaze was started by extortionists. The trial is expected to begin in February 2016. (The News International)
