Global fashion retailer H&M is being accused of sourcing products from a pair of factories in Myanmar that reportedly made children as young as 14 work more than 12 hours a day. The allegations are being made in a new book scheduled to be released in Sweden titled “Modeslavar,” or “fashion slaves” in English. The authors of the book say that the practices are in violation of both Myanmar’s laws and the ILO conventions. H&M says that it is conducting its own investigation into the matter. (The Guardian)
