The Pakistan Readymade Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) says that a new Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Vietnam and Europe could further hamper Pakistan’s textile industry. Leaders with the group are urging the government to take prompt preventative measures to stave off any additional losses on top of those accrued thanks to high energy costs and unfavorable policies. Pakistan’s textile exports experienced a significant decline in the last half of 2015. (Express Tribune)
