Apparel industry leaders in Sri Lanka say that while the recent floods and landslides that have beseiged the country in recent weeks may hamper their ability to honor current orders in the short-term, the country’s long-term production capabilities should not be affected. Speaking to Just Style, Anil Wettewa, the head of the Sri Lanka Apparel Sourcing Association, expressed confidence in the country’s ability to bounce back, noting that there is “nothing too serious” facing the industry.
